Avicii, also known by the name, Tim Bergling, has recently become one of the most prominent producers in the Electronic Dance Scene. He has been nominated twice for a Grammy Award, once for his work on “Sunshine” with David Guetta in 2012 and once for his song “Levels” in 2013.
Tim Bergling, was born on 8 September, 1989 in Stockholm, Sweden.  Avicii started making music at the age of 18, writing and remixing tracks in his bedroom and then leaking them onto various websites and blogs. Bergling stated some of his Influences as being Daft Punk and Steve Angello.  Avicii’s melodic and unique house sound gained a huge following, and gained support from David Guetta, Nicky Romero, and Tiësto. Tiësto soon invited him to perform a weekly show at Privilege in Ibiza.
Avicii became a huge hit across Europe and later in the U.K., thanks to a vocal work with Amanda Wilson who was featured in some of his work.  In 2012 he released the song “2 Million” after reaching that number of followers on Facebook, while his single “Levels” and its accompanying video were nominated at that year’s MTV Music Video Awards.
Avicii was also nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording with “Levels” at the 2013 Grammy Awards as well, which took place on 10 February 2013. He was nominated alongside Skrillex, John Martin, Swedish House Mafia, Ne-Yo, Al  Walser, and Calvin Harris.

On 8 September 2014, on his 25th birthday, Avicii decided to cancel all of his remaining performances in 2014 due to health concerns. Charitable work

Since achieving widespread commercial success, Avicii began working with his manager and executive producer Ash Pournouri in 2011, to start House for Hunger. A charity dedicated to alleviating global hunger. The pair wanted to showcase the giving spirit portrayed by the house music community. Avicii explained, “You have to give something back. I am so fortunate to be in the position where I can actually do that. I feel lucky every day when I wake up and am able to do what I love and make a living.”
In addition to donating $1 million to Feeding America, House for Hunger has helped fund the efforts of The Feed Foundation, started by Laura Bush. Allowing it to distribute over two million school meals throughout Africa.
